If you happen to be driving down I-40 anywhere near Okemah, Oklahoma, STOP HERE! The most amazing Indian food I've ever tasted...adjacent to the Love's parking lot. It's a Punjabi Dabah. Who knew.... Gracious and solicitous service---felt like I was visiting their home. Shan-E-Roti Authentic Indian Cuisine, exit 221.

This place is a little gem if you are driving the 40 and tired of the Love's Subway sandwiches. I've driven the 40 start to finish a few times now and eaten at a handful of Indian restaurants along the way and this is the clear winner in my book. The Chicken Masala was delicious, along with the fresh baked Roti and the Raita (not pictured). It's a lot of food, and tastes super fresh and the chicken is perfectly tender. The cook and owner is the sweetest lady and offered me free chai when I left.
